Great place discovered this yesterday, but wish it had been sooner. Took our dog, and met some lovely fellow pet owners and staff. Yummy food, lovely gift shop and good surroundings.

We were delighted with this find. A great place to meet friends or watch an event. Super little gift shops too. We went to watch a ukulele band play and they were super fun. We enjoyed our meet up eith friends too as the atmosphere was lovely. Food good and friendly service. All on one level so ideal for me in my powerchair. Easy access.
We booked our wedding here before the pandemic. Honestly so glad we did. During this last year, when we’ve been flapping, Lynn and Richard couldn’t have been more calm and helpful every step of the way - dealing with every new restriction in their stride. Not only are they professional and incredibly hard working, they are super friendly and we really felt at home with them. Everyone from our guests to suppliers couldn’t have been more complimentary of Bawdon Lodge and their team. Always thinking of ways they can help. If you’re thinking about booking a wedding with them do it -you wont regret it! We have also been to several of their events and they’re always faultless. A great find. Plenty of parking, lovely outdoor space for a walk. Coffee shop & gift shop all under one roof. Easy to access other walks off site and have food and drink on return.
Just opposite a farm shop. 1 to park and a lovely cafe with stalls selling some really nice stuff. We just had a soft drink but my friend bought cake to take home and said the home made Wagon Wheels were something else. Interesting place which is home to small businesses and independent sellers. The loo is separate from the cafe and is easy access (I am a lady of a certain age and this is important info )
Booked this for our daughters pre wedding lunch with her elder family members, plus 1 who was to young for a typical hen night out. In total 11 people round one large circular table, perfect for everyone to talk to each other. Everyone was pleasantly surprised by what the fantastic staff had done for our daughter, the table was dressed and decorated perfectly, crockery and cutlery laid out as well. Food was fantastic, there is a large and varied choice, not one complaint about the quality or service. Staff went above and beyond for all at the table, will definitely visit again some of our family also commented that they will return. Thank-you to all who made our daughters lunch so perfect. Had a great time doing the easter egg hunt with our almost 3 year old. He loves exploring the grounds and wooded areas. Lovely coffee and other goodies on offer as well, so a must for something to do with the little ones or just if you fancy and few hours out, some fresh air and a a coffee and bit of cake.
